Why We Do This Work
I became interested in accounting because I was interested in how organizations make decisions.
Over the past two decades, that curiosity has led me through public accounting, entrepreneurship, international business, technology projects, and advisory work across a variety of industries and jurisdictions.
My professional career began with Deloitte, PwC, and EY, where I worked with multinational organizations navigating complex tax, reporting, and operational challenges. Those experiences provided a strong technical foundation, but they also revealed something broader: financial decisions rarely exist in isolation. Tax, operations, growth, risk, and human behavior are often intertwined.
Since 2010, I have advised entrepreneurs, closely held businesses, expatriates, and internationally connected individuals through AG CPA Co. Along the way, I have worked with founders raising capital, businesses expanding internationally, and owners navigating important transitions. I have also spent time building businesses myself, which has shaped how I approach client relationships and decision-making.
What continues to interest me most is helping people understand complexity.
Sometimes that complexity involves tax law. Sometimes it involves international operations, business structure, financial systems, or competing priorities. In each case, my goal is the same: to help clients understand their options, evaluate tradeoffs, and make informed decisions.
Today, my interests increasingly sit at the intersection of finance, technology, and decision systems. Advances in data science, automation, and artificial intelligence are changing how information is processed and how decisions are made. I believe these tools have tremendous potential when used thoughtfully, transparently, and in service of human understanding.
At AG CPA Co, we strive to provide more than compliance. We aim to create clarity.
When clients leave a conversation with a better understanding of their situation and a clearer sense of direction, we consider that a successful outcome.
